Thank you so much for this interview! I can't wait to listen. I recently began seeing a somatic therapist ,and she has opened up this world of movement to heal from trauma. Thank you for the healing you bring to the world, Clare.

I like that she focused on rest as well as training consistently. So I was a little perplexed that consistent sleep wasn’t brought up. Does she mention that in her book?

Thanks for listening, John. There were so many things I wanted to talk to Laura about, but I also didn't want the conversation to be too long so unfortunately not everything that matters got a mention! But yes, she writes lots more about the importance of rest (broadly understood) in the book.

Clare, I am thrilled to see that you are offering conversations surrounding trauma. I have been doing my own research, solo, for about five years now--devouring all of the most-recommended books on the topic, taking notes, and trying different somatic therapies (EMDR, myofascial release, psilocybin, Adverse Childhood Experiences journaling, re-parenting through Integrated Family Systems theory). It's incredible how powerful integration can be, despite the inevitable setbacks and ongoing uphill battles. You are doing incredible things!
