I’m grateful to... 🌀 be offering a new writing workshop (inspired by the Celtic Wheel)
Something new from me!
I’m grateful to have launched something new this week: a generative writing workshop inspired by the Celtic Wheel. I’m grateful to the folks who’ve signed up so far, and for the small community that’s gathering around this topic. I’m grateful for the wisdom of my Celtic (& pre-Celtic ancestors) who used an ancient calendar that’s rooted in the rhythms of nature and relies upon the interconnectedness of all things. I’m grateful to be able to apply this sacred cycle of birth, death and rebirth to our creative seasons. I’m grateful for the irony of launching the Spring session when there’s snow on the ground in Dublin!
I’m grateful to be partnering with
again, a small DIY organisation building community among chronically ill & disabled people. I’m grateful to have partnered with them last year on a workshop about developing a writing practice, and for how the positive feedback from participants sustains me still. I’m grateful for the energy I felt, mapping out how I’d like this course to unfold and for the themes we’re exploring in Spring which feel juicy and generative. They are: embracing the bountiful rebirth of Spring (Week 1) and the creative tension of opposites (Week 2).I’m grateful to be able to offer this course on a ‘pay what you can basis’1, which ensures that everyone is welcome regardless of their income. I’m very grateful to the folks who pay the upper rate, which helps make these community-focused offerings sustainable. I’m also grateful to the people who aren’t in a position to pay very much right now, but still come along and contribute so much to the experience.
I’m very grateful to be able to offer this workshop to this community. If you’d like to learn more, here are the details. If you’d like to sign up, please respond to this email.
P.S. I’m grateful also for your feedback on this offering: is it of interest to you, or not? I tried to be mindful of time zones while scheduling it, and to create something that was easy for people to dip in and out of. But so much of creation is trying things, iterating and trying again, and I’m very open to your feedback as I build and grow this community.

📚 No reading this week! As part of The Artist’s Way, I’ve been doing a week of reading deprivation. It’s been… a lot, but also very interesting. More on this soon!
🥬 I also didn’t cook much, but I have a cabbage in the fridge that I’m planning to use for this delicious dish.

Thanks, Clare. I am on US/Pacific time, which is 8 hours behind you. So I think I can try this! (I’m an early riser..:)) Will start with the Summer dates, tho.
For the workshops, what time zone applies? Thank you.
